Patrick Joseph Newell, 68, of Conneaut Lake, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 1, 2022, at his residence.
Born April 28, 1953, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Francis and Mary (McAleer) Newell.
He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1971. He then attended Duquesne University and graduated in 1975.
Patrick worked as a salesperson for many years and owned and operated The Pike Restaurant in Cabot.
He was a member of St. Philip Church in Linesville. He was proud of his Irish heritage, and he cherished spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Beth (Noah) Newell, who he married on December 31,1991; his children, Molly Fenton (Ed Zinz) of Saegertown, Bridget Fenton of Pittsburgh, Joseph Newell of Meadville, William Newell of Conneaut Lake, Daniel Newell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his siblings Mary DePalma (Alphonse) of Boston, Massachusetts, Bridget Newell (Greg Foliano) of Columbus, Ohio, John Newell (Leila Khalil) of Pittsburgh, Thomas Newell (Susan) of Alexandria, Virginia, Michael Newell (Maureen) of Pittsburgh, and Jean Lorence (Mark) of Boston, Massachusetts; two granddaughters, Olive and Eleanor Zinz; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville with Father Chris Hamlett as celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Philip Church.
