Ralph G. Anlauf, 87, of Espyville, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016, at the Palms of O’Neil in White Oak, Pennsylvania, where he had resided for over a year.

Born May 12, 1928, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Ralph Sr. and Helen Csizmadia Anlauf.  He married Lorraine V. Trout on May 11, 1948, at St. Theresa Church in Munhall; she preceded him in death on December 30, 2010.

He retired as the superintendent of maintenance for West Mifflin School District in Pittsburgh.

Ralph was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville where he served as an usher for many years.  He was a past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 6037.  He was a Fourth Degree Grand Knight with Dr. Henry C. Winslow Assembly 1927 and also past Faithful Navigator.

He was a member of the North Shenango Volunteer Fire Department, the North Shenango Crime Watch and the Espyville Senior Center.  He also was chairman for the North Shenango Community Center and served on the North Shenango Zoning Board.

Ralph loved playing in a country band at the North Shenango Community Center.  He enjoyed golfing and bowling in many leagues.

Survivors include, three sons, George Anlauf of Conneautville, Larry Anlauf and his wife, Bonnie, of North Huntingdon and Dale Anlauf and his wife, Debbie, of North Huntingdon; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Dubina of South Park; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Anlauf; his parents; and a daughter-in-law, Christine Anlauf.

C alling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville, with Father Chris Hamlett as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Philip Cemetery.
