Richard J. Denne

Richard J. Denne Sr., 79, of Espyville passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born July 29, 1940, in McKeesport, he was the son of Joseph and Hilda (Thomas) Denne.  He married Jayne (Bush) Ryan on August 20, 1977 at St. Bernadette Church in Monroeville.

Rich was a graduate of Duquesne High School.  He was a cabinet maker and was co-owner with his son Rich, of Cabinet Crafters Plus Inc. in Pollock, Louisiana until he retired in 2007 and returned back to Pennsylvania.

He was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville.  Rich enjoyed model trains and playing horseshoes.  He loved being outdoors and cherished spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Jayne Denne; six children, Richard Denne and his wife, Kathryn, of Pollock, Louisiana, Robert Denne and his wife, Gabi, of Laceyville, Debbie Reister and her husband, Dave, of Conneaut Lake, Lisa Decker and her husband, Ron, of Espyville, Michael Ryan and his wife, Carrie, of Apollo, and Robert Ryan of Export; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Kathy Vay and her husband, Keith, of Lowber; a brother, Carl Denne and his wife, Pat, of Brighton, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, June Marie Gaydos on January 4, 1977; a son, Jimmy Ryan; and three brothers, Jim, Ken and Donnie Denne.

Calling hours will be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1p.m. Saturday at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 401 S. Mercer St., Linesville with Father Chris Hamlett as celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kindred Hospice, 1245 Park Ave., Meadville, Pa 16335 or to St. Philip Church.
