Richard W. Lawrence

Richard W. Lawrence, 82, of Linesville, passed away after a battle with Alzheimer’s on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at Wesbury in Meadville.

Born March 15, 1938, in Meadville, he was the son of John and Thora (Jackson) Lawrence.  He married Nancy L. Cole on December 14, 1959.

Richard was a 1956 graduate of Conneaut Valley High School.  He worked for Rockwell International in Ashtabula, Ohio until the plant closed.  He then worked for Universal Screw Machine in Willoughby, Ohio for 13 years until he retired.

He could fix anything and was always willing to help others.  Richard loved being in his garage helping someone with a project.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy Lawrence; four children, Richard Lawrence and his wife, Mary Lou, Donald Lawrence, Deanna Winans and her husband, Andi, and Denise Erford and her husband, Clayton; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Maynard; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, John Carl Lawrence and a sister, Ruth Lawrence.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Hwy 6, Linesville.  CDC guidelines will be followed.

A funeral service will follow at noon on Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Mealy of the Lake Church in Conneaut Lake officiating.

Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.
