Roger Grant Waring, 81, of Linesville, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at his residence.
Born January 25, 1940, in Linesville, he was the son of Howard and Georgia (Bean) Waring.
He was a 1957 graduate of Linesville High School. Roger served our country in the United States Army and was stationed in Alaska for two years. He grew up working on the family farm in Linesville. He worked from 1963 until he retired in 1999 as a warehouse manager for Union Carbide/ESAB in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Roger was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club in Linesville. In his spare time, he enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and golfing.
Survivors include two sons, Roger Stanley Waring and his wife, Crystal, of Brecksville, Ohio and Michael Howard Waring and his wife, Kathy, of Ashtabula; a daughter, Joyce Marie Jarvela of Ashtabula; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Waring and his wife, Judy, of Butte, Montana; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jo Ann Waring who passed away in 2000; his second wife, Patricia Waring who passed away in 2016; two brothers, Gary and Leroy Waring; and a sister, Nancy Nickerson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. No funeral service will be held.
