Ronald J. Harrison, 73, of Espyville, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at his residence.
Born May 17, 1942, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of William and Ruth Miller Harrison.
He retired from H. J. Heinz Company in Pittsburgh, after over 30 years of service.
Ron was a member of the Espyville United Methodist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and Ron loved the Pymatuning Lake area. He enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Maerkle of Flowery Branch, Georgia; a daughter, Charlotte Giovannelli and her husband, Tony, of Mercer; a granddaughter, Ava Giovannelli; 11 brothers and sisters, William Harrison and his wife, Debbie, Patricia Gunnell, Richard Harrison and his wife, Kathy, Karen Matichko and her husband, John, Randolph Harrison, Kathleen Goob and her husband, James, Denise Klotz and her husband, Raymond, Lori Varady and her husband, Charles, Janell Mullen and her husband, Merle, Linda Stracener and her husband, Michael, and Albert Maerkle and his wife, Patricia; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Harrison; his loving companion, Cynthia Cromwell; two brothers, Lawrence and Daniel Harrison; and his beloved dog, Tate.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Theresa Robison of the Espyville United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Espyville Cemetery.
