Rosemary Ann Leech

September 4, 1935 — May 20, 2024

Huntington Beach, California

Rosemary Ann “Posey” Leech, age 88, of Huntington Beach, California joined her beloved husband, Chuck, in Heaven on May 20th, 2024.

Posey was born September 4th, 1935, in Meadville, Pennsylvania to the late James and Alyce Forker. She is survived by her sons, Chuck Leech Jr. (wife Kelli), Dave Leech (wife Edie), daughter Lindy Leech-Painter (husband Kelly), grandchildren Trent Painter, Lauren Meyer, Kate Painter, Sarah Aucutt, Dylan Painter, Elizabeth Morini, 7 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Belle.

Posey trained as a nurse and was a devoted Air Force Pilot wife. She embraced military life as her husband served while she raised their 3 children. She amassed countless volunteer hours at her children's schools and at community events and upon her husband's retirement from the Air Force, she and Chuck became active at St. Bonaventure Parish as Eucharist Ministers and Baptism Coordinators. Her greatest pride was her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren!

She loved to travel with her husband of 69 years, especially to Hawaii and to visit the wineries in Central California.  Over the years, Posey and Chuck traveled and cruised extensively, eventually visiting every continent except for Antarctica.  In addition to traveling, Posey took great pride in her home. She had an amazing green thumb which was evident in her yard over the years and in her flower arranging. Posey was an avid knitter who loved reading and watching sports and game shows.

She will be greatly missed and will forever hold a special place in our hearts! Cheers Grandma!
