Rosetta J. (Martin) Harper, 74, of Springboro, passed away suddenly, on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at the Meadville Medical Center.
Born December 3, 1942, she was the daughter of Dennis and Callie Hinkle Martin. She married Wayne H. Harper Sr. on October 27, 1958, in Czar, West Virginia. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2004.
She worked for Warren Industries in Meadville for fifteen years. She had previously worked for Miller Nursing Home in Andover.
For many years, she volunteered at the Springboro food pantry.
Rosetta enjoyed bingo and going on casino trips. She loved taking care of her dogs.
Survivors include, five children, Susan Morelli of Springboro, Wayne (Butch) Harper Jr. of Conneautville, Ronald Harper and his wife, Vicki, of Linesville, Denise Zazado and her husband, Craig, of Hartstown, and Donald Harper and his wife, Darlene, of Conneautville; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two half-sisters, Karen Binkley of Transfer and Anne Moore; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Eric Harper; three great grandchildren; and two son-in-laws.
Calling hours will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U. S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Terry Brown officiating. Additional calling hours will be Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Linesville Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Rosetta’s name to your local humane society or local food pantry.
