Sharon K. (Sherrie) Lawton-Minetti, 65, of Linesville, went to see the Lord on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at home with her husband Paul and beloved Tia by her side.
She was born May 11, 1957, in Saginaw, Michigan to Robert and Virginia Lawton.
Sherrie married Paul Minetti on February 12, 1992, in Hilton Head, South Carolina; he survives.
She graduated from Chesaning, Michigan High School in 1975. Sherrie attended Delta College in Bay City, Michigan. She received a declaration from the governor for her voluntary work with health and human services as well as an advocate for the humane society in Michigan.
Sherrie was employed by a fortune 500 company in the marketing department where she met her future husband Paul. They eventually moved to Linesville where she put her gardening and landscaping talents to work. She was a very talented and artistic homemaker and as well as an excellent cook.
Sherrie was a member of Our Lady Queen of the Americas Catholic Church, Telce’s craft group which she enjoyed immensely as well as the Lakeland Community Center. She loved her furry pets over the years and made a home for many stray cats.
She was predeceased by her parents, Bob and Virginia Lawton; her brother, Robert Lawton; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Theresa Minetti; sister-in-law, Barbara Carter and brother-in-law, William Minetti.
Sherrie is survived by her husband, Paul Minetti; sisters, Mary Myers of Traverse City, Michigan, Ann Wright and husband, Michael, of Cumming, Georgia and Janice Lawton of Okemos, Michigan; brother, Pat Lawton and wife, Brenda, of Chesaning, Michigan; brother-in-law, Jack Minetti and companion, Gene Taormina of Goodyear, Arizona; brother-in-law, Rod Carter of Saukville, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Judi Minetti of Meadville; and many special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, November 4 at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. A celebration of her life will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
