Shirley J. (Richmond) Mccoy

Shirley J. McCoy, 74, of Linesville, died, Saturday, May 17, 2014, at UPMC Hamot in Erie.
She was born July 13, 1939, in Meadville, a daughter of Walter and Helen Davenport Richmond. She married Raymond J. McCoy on July 12, 1958; he preceded her in death on January 28, 1999.
Shirley was a cafeteria worker at Conneaut Valley High School from 1973 until 1983. She then went to work as a cook for the YWCA Twin Creeks Head Start from 1984 until 2003.
She was a member of the Harmonsburg United Methodist Church.
Shirley cherished and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors taking care of her home, and her animals were the love of her life.
Survivors include two daughters, Terry A. Copeland of West Springfield and Phyllis Fenn and her husband, Joseph, of Carnegie; twin sons, Brian J. McCoy and his wife, Denise, of Conneaut Lake and Bruce J. McCoy and his wife, Judy, of Pittsburgh; seven grandchildren, Lindsay Copeland, Darcie Copeland, Jason Copeland, Eric Copeland, Megan McCoy, Amy McCoy and Sara McCoy; and four great-grandchildren, Hailey McCoy, Kayden Lucas, Mason Terriberry and Eden Copeland.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a great-grandson, Cameron Lucas, and two brothers, Paul and Leroy Richmond. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Harmonsburg United Methodist Church, 14182 First St., Harmonsburg, with Rev. Dennis E. Lawton officiating.
