Shirley J. Rhodes, 73, of Linesville, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Meadville Medical Center.

Born September 27, 1944, in Joplin, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Betty Gilstrap Goff.  She married James D. Rhodes on September 3, 1963, in Monroe, Washington.

She was a loving and devoted homemaker.

Shirley enjoyed camping, picnics, playing bingo, going shopping and she sure liked her sweets.  Shirley loved spending time with her family and cherished her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, James D. Rhodes; a daughter, Patricia Lewis and her husband, William, of Liberty, Ohio; a son, Brian Rhodes and his wife, Crystal, of Inman, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Justin, Eric and Ellis; a great-granddaughter, Ellie; two sisters, Judy Ellis of Washington and Patsy Brown of Oregon; a brother-in-law, John Rhodes of Linesville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Cory, and a brother, Roger Goff.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from noon to 1 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will follow the calling at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Sam Marchetta, Director of Pastoral Care at Wesbury in Meadville, officiating.

Burial will be private in Linesville Cemetery.
