Steven Michael Sharpless

Steven Michael Sharpless, 62, of Linesville, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at his residence.

Born August 6, 1962, in Sewickley, he was the son of William M. and Callie Catherine (Lantz) Sharpless.

Steven was a graduate of Freedom High School.

He worked in construction as a carpenter and could fix or repair anything.

Steven was a member of the Pymatuning Sportsman’s Club in Linesville, the American Legion Post 462 in Linesville and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Andover, Ohio.  He was an avid baseball fan and loved watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.  He also enjoyed shooting pool and golfing.

Survivors include his mother, Callie Catherine Sharpless; a son, Michael (Michelle) Sharpless, two daughters, Samantha Sharpless and Amanda Sharpless; four brothers, William Sharpless, James (Debbie) Sharpless, Gary (Darcy) Sharpless and David Sharpless; a sister, Catherine (Brian) Hancock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William M. Sharpless and his grandparents, Wilburn and Margaret Sharpless.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 10 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.

A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Dan Miller officiating.
