Thomas Carl Millslagle, 73, of Espyville, passed away, unexpectedly on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at his residence.  He had moved to Espyville ten years ago from the Swissvale area.

Born April 6, 1940 in Braddock, he was the son of James and Mildred Karn Millslagle.  He married Mary Pat Fiedler and she preceded him in death in 2009.

Thomas was a graduate of Swissvale High School.

He retired from Westinghouse in Pittsburgh where he worked as a draftsman.  Thomas recently worked for Home Depot in Meadville.

He was a member of St. Philip Roman Catholic Church in Linesville.  Thomas enjoyed woodworking, bird watching and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include three step-sons, Joseph Fiedler and his wife, Christina, of Beeville, Texas, John Fiedler of Espyville and Michael Fiedler and his wife, Heather, of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren, Emily Ratliff and her husband, Josh, of Summerville, South Carolina, Lindsey Loppnow of Summerville, and Matthew and Benjamin Fiedler of Pittsburgh; two great-grandchildren, Christian and Abigail Ratliff of Summerville; two sister-in-laws, Louise Dvorchak and her husband, Paul, of Pittsburgh and Kathleen Bainbridge of Gaithersburg, Maryland; and his special friends, Arlene Millslagle and Henry and Rosemary Vinay.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held in Pittsburgh at a later date.

Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in McMurray, Pa.

Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
