Thomas R. Roxberry, 87, of Linesville, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at his residence after a short illness.
Born December 2, 1934, in Linesville, he was the son of Edward and Wilda (Tillie) Garwood Roxberry. He married Judith A. Braham on October 6, 1962.
Tom graduated from Linesville High School in 1953. He then served our country briefly in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 1958.
He retired from Rockwell International Brake Division in 1986. Tom then worked for Linesville Beverage and later for Meadville Bottling Company making deliveries. Over the past 60 years, he worked for five funeral directors in Linesville and most recently Royal-Coleman Funeral Home.
Tom was a life member of Linesville United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Pine Masonic Lodge 498 of Linesville. He was also a member of the Valley of New Castle Consistory and a former member of the Zem Zem Shriners in Erie.
In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling and visiting his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed bowling and going to the casino.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Judy Roxberry; three daughters, Stacey Stanko of Houston, Texas; Melissa Hanson and her husband, Jeff, of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Melinda Blankenship and her husband, Chris, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a son, Todd Roxberry and his wife, Stacie, of Butler; four grandchildren, Kaitlin Stanko, Brad Roxberry, Ava Roxberry and Chase Hanson; a great-granddaughter, Skylar; a sister, Suzanne Blood and her husband, Russ, of Linesville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sara Roxberry; and a brother, Edward (Pat) Roxberry.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville. Additional calling will be on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Tubbs officiating.
Burial will follow in Linesville Cemetery.
