Tracey Ann (Baumgardner) Elmen, 48, of Guys Mills went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Meadville Medical Center after a courageous battle with breast cancer for the last three years.
Born May 14, 1967, in Meadville, she was the daughter of Sandy Baumgardner and James Baumgardner.
She was a graduate of Meadville High School in 1985. Tracey then attended Tri-State Business Institute from 2005 until 2007 and earned a Licensed Practical Nurse Degree. She went to Clarion University and graduated in 2013 as a Registered Nurse.
She most recently worked as an RN at the Stepping Stones Unit of Meadville Medical Center while battling breast cancer and previously worked as an LPN at the Transitional Care Unit while going to college for her RN Degree. From 1990 until 2005 Tracey worked for Andover Industries.
She was a member of the Living Waters Church in Meadville. Tracey loved spending time with her family and she cherished her grandchildren. She also enjoyed being outdoors, especially vacations at the beach with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister. Tracey always put others before herself, whether it was while she worked happily and tirelessly as a nurse or as a mother to many of her children’s friends that she always opened her home and her heart to.
She will be remembered for her incredible selflessness, bright smile, kind eyes, sharp wit, fierce dedication to those she loved, and for being such an inspiration to all who knew her. Tracey was an advocate for her patients, her family, and for herself as she fought valiantly to beat cancer and save her life.
