Zachary Aaron Baker, 16, of Linesville, passed away, Friday, November 16, 2012.
Bom March 23, 1996 in Meadville, he was the son of Raymond E. and Heather E. Simmerman Baker.
He was an eleventh grade student at Conneaut Area Senior High School in Linesville. Zachary had a passion for music and was a member of the marching band, concert band, and chorus at the high school. Since he was four years old, he loved playing soccer. He had been involved with Linesville Little Gridders Football.
As a long time member of the Boy Scouts, he dedicated much time and love to the Scouts.
Zachary faithfully attended Linesville First Baptist Church where he participated in Youth Group and actively helped with Awana, a children's ministry. He loved helping people and always brought out the best in others.
Survivors include his parents, Raymond E. and Heather E. Baker; six brothers, Nathan Bortz and his fianoé, Mia Marsili, and their son, Daniel Allen Bortz, Joshua J. Baker, Andrew C. Baker, Matthew N. Baker, Jacob N. Baker and Alexander T. Baker; maternal grandparents, Howard J. and Joan E. Simmerman of Linesviille; paternal grandfather, Raymond F. Baker of Leechburg; great-grandther, Ralph L. Baker of Leechburg; great-grandmother, Geraldine Dunmire of Homosassa, Florida; an aunt, Heather Dunmire of Homosassa; four uncles, Howard M. Simmerman and his wife, ]udy R., of Linesville, Hal L Simmerman of Linesville, Victor Luce of Oil City, William Birtciel and his wife, Marilyn, of Crete, Illinois; and many cousins, second cousins, great aunts, and great uncles.
He was preceded in death by a twin brother and sister, Samuel L. Baker and Abigail L. Baker and his patemal grandmother, Susan L. Dunmire.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Linesville First Baptist Church, 6114 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the church with Pastor Art Barnes officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the family on the church's web site at fbclinesville.com. Burial will be in private in Linesville Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
