Charles J. Young, 74, of Espyville, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at his residence.
Born July 6, 1939, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy Smith Young.
He proudly served our country in the United States Marines from 1957 until he was honorable discharged in 1963. After 43 years, he retired from the West Mifflin Sewer Authority. Charles also had worked for the Pennsylvania Fish and Game Commission for 19 years.
He was a member of the Jamestown Lions Club 5967. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include a son, Aaron Young and his wife, Janet, of West Mifflin; a daughter, Lori Young of Espyville; a grandson, Vincent Krivacek-Young of Espyville; a brother, William J. Young of Espyville; two sister-in-laws, Doris Sainato of Clarendon and Dorothy Welsh of Munhall; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Nancy A. (Kirtz) Young, his parents, and a sister-in-law, Virginia Johns.
As per his request services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
