Edward R. Schorr of Espyville, Pa.
I returned to the Lord on November 14, 2019. I was preceded in death by my first wife Ruth, My parents Edward and Lena (Schulte) Schorr, Grandparents, Jacob Schorr, Margaret (Kessler) Schorr, Peter Schulte, Mary (Oxford) Schulte, and sister Ruth Oeler.
I was born in Duquesne, PA on April 4th, 1934, where I enjoyed all the things a young man does in a great Steel Town. I proudly served my country with the Air Force before studying at Penn State University in the field of Agriculture and animal husbandry, turning that study into a hobby I enjoyed throughout out my years. My life’s work was in the Steel industry. First at the Duquesne Works, then at Sharon Steel, north of Pittsburgh. During those difficult times, I continued at McLouth Steel in Michigan and finally, retiring from Andover Industries in Ohio.
A new life began for me when I met my caring spouse Sharon, whom I’ve enjoyed dancing with for over 20 years. Along with Her, I leave behind stepchildren Susan Langdon, Daniel Reynolds, Kenny Reynolds. Adopted daughter Tracy Barker (Ralph), 7 grandchildren, and my special granddaughter, Katelynn. 6 Great grandchildren, Brother in law Ed Balawender, Nephew Bob (Jill). Great niece Katelyn,Great Nephew Alex, Furbabies Simba, Whimpers, Felix, Oscar, Grand furbaby Jasmine.
I have asked that my ashes be taken up by the breath of God, to waft across the beauty that he has created for all of us. There will never be any more perfection than there is now.
Give your honey a kiss, scratch the dog’s ears, give the cat a treat, plant some flowers and Love the lord. That’s what made me happy.
Ed’s family has the deepest gratitude to Interim Healthcare Hospice for their compassionate care through these difficult times.
