Joseph Anthony Cancilla
October 10, 1921 — February 19, 2016
Joseph Anthony Cancilla, age 94, born in Pittsburgh, Pa and formerly of Andover, Ohio quietly passed away in Shillington, Pa on Feb. 19, 2016. Joseph was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Marcella (Lienert) and his daughter Joyce Puskar.
He is survived by his 3 children: Joseph Cancilla, Janet (James) Palange, James (Christine) Cancilla; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Joseph was retired from Ironworkers, Local 3. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved being around all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. In his earlier years he loved working in his garden, going to the race track, and hunting and fishing.
Joseph will always be remembered for his “love of life” and he lived it to the fullest.
C alling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Coleman Funeral Home, 6028 U.S. Highway 6, Linesville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 481 S. Main St., Andover, Ohio with Father Jeffrey Stealey as celebrant.
Burial with full military honors will be in Williamsfield Center Cemetery.
