Thomas Michael Robinson, 69, of Linesville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh.
Born May 26, 1951, in Franklin, he was the son of the late Thomas R. and Lois (Fulkerson) Robinson. He married Cindy L. Garlick on July 12, 1996 in Ashtabula, Ohio.
Tom was a 1969 graduate of Meadville Area Senior High School. He worked at the former American Viscose Company and Talon Zipper Company in Meadville for 10 years before joining the trade in 1979 as a union steamfitter for Local 47 and Local 449. Tom always loved the trade and more importantly the friends he made along the way, traveling throughout the country, before retiring in 2015. He also previously sold fire trucks and equipment for Fire Chasers Fire Equipment of Frostburg, Maryland and the former New Lexington Fire Equipment Company of Rockwell, Pennsylvania.
Tom was a member of the Linesville First Baptist Church.

He is also a past chief of the Summit Township Volunteer Fire Department and a past member of the West Mead Township No. 1 Volunteer Fire Department, where he proudly joined the fire service in the footsteps of his father.
In his free time, Tom could often times be found on the waters of Lake Erie, fishing for walleye and perch. Just this past year, he had proudly obtained his U.S. Coast Guard Master Captain’s License. Tom also enjoyed spending time with his friends as a member of the Pymatuning Sportsmen’s Club and most of all with his family that he loved more than anything. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, and his favorite NASCAR drivers Dave and Ryan Blaney.
Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years Cindy; five children, son Carl Robinson and his wife Sonya of New Castle, son Michael Robinson and his wife Monica of Bedford, Texas, daughter Lori Stevens of Brookville, Florida, daughter Betsy Owen and her husband Eric of Philadelphia, and son Chuck Robinson of Linesville; sister Jean Stein and her husband Dallas of Meadville and brother Robert Robinson of Cochranton; a nephew that he loved like a son Chris Stein and his wife Mary of Conneaut Lake; his closest friend Geo Rusnak II of Linesville; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and countless nieces and nephews.
